What is Softwashing?

Unlike pressure washing, soft washing uses low-pressure pumps with PSI less than 1,000; equivalent to that of a garden hose. By using less pressure than that of a pressure washer, and relying instead on these powerful biodegradable and eco-friendly detergents and dwell time, you can count on the soft washer to deliver a cleaner surface. Not only are they often more effective than a pressure washer, but they use a far less amount of water too. Softwashing is also a method recommended by most major insurers, and even the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturing Association (ARMA). We recommend using a soft washer for surfaces such as but not limited to:
- Wood panel siding
- Cedar Shake
- Stucco and coquina
- Screens, screened enclosures, and lanais
